It is important for an educational institute to be in progress in order to match the global standards of education. For the same, a well-framed strategic plan is inevitable. STRATEGIC PLAN The strategic plan of the institution is prepared by the allotted committees with the support of the Principal in several functional areas. Some of these strategic plans are enumerated:
A. Strategic Plan for Teaching and Learning:
Mentorship Program: Mentorship program is aimed at uplifting the academic performance of the students and for their mental wellbeing. The mentorship program is designed with the faculty mentors as well as peer mentors. For effectively conducting this program, the students are divided into three categories, slow performer, average performer and advanced learners. In order to improve the slow performers into average performers, peer mentors, who are advanced learners from the senior batches are appointed. With the support of faculty mentors, student mentors help slow performers to become average performers.
Academic Calendar: Academic calendar indicates all the academic, co-curricular and extracurricular activities to be conducted in the academic year. It serves as a roadmap for students, faculty, and administration, providing essential information about the timing of classes, exams, and breaks. The academic calendar can be found on the college website.
Timetable: A timetable is being prepared for each and every class on a regular basis. The preparation of the timetable is done by making sure that the lectures are delivered efficiently and effectively for each course as per the university guidelines. The timetable can be found on the notice board.
Lesson Plans Respective teachers prepare lecture plans as per the guidelines set by the university.
B. Strategic Plan for Assessment and Evaluation:
Examination: The institution has an internal examination committee that schedules the internal assessment examinations and semester examinations as per the university guidelines. They also address any complaints or disputes related to examination procedures or results, providing a platform for students to voice their concerns.
Evaluation: The assessment of all internal examinations is done timely and the internal examination committee will ensure that the results of all institution-level examinations are published in a prompt manner.
C. Strategic Plan for Co-curricular & Extra-curricular Activities:
Several co-curricular activities such as moot courts and academic projects are planned and executed by the concerned teachers. We have a full-fledged moot court hall which will provide students with a realistic courtroom environment.
Independent Committees for extracurricular activities, such as Arts club and sports committee, plan and implement their respective activities and submit the report to the Principal and IQAC.
Experiential learning is an initiative by our institution which emphasizes learning through experience, reflection, and active participation. As a part of experiential learning, we organize moot court competitions, and we also encourage students to participate in several moot court competitions as well as to do academic projects in various companies. We also provide assistance to secure internships in various governmental firms.
D. Strategic Plan for Quality Assurance and Enhancement Initiatives:
IQAC: IQAC - Internal Quality Assurance Cell, frames the action plan for each academic year. The IQAC coordinator, with the support of the Principal, conducts various programs for upgrading the skills of teaching and non-teaching staff of the institution. It conducts periodic meetings and plans various quality enhancement activities with the approval of the principal along with the management.
