Established in 2007, the Baba Kundan Singh Trust draws its inspiration from the revered saint and social reformer, Baba Kundan Singh and stands for excellence in legal education near the city of Moga, Punjab. Babaji devoted his entire life in preaching and practicing the life according to the teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. He rendered infinite number of charitable deeds for the welfare of society and brought social, educational and above all religious reforms in Sikh History. It was his keen desire to impart legal education in the district of Moga, Punjab. His memories and teachings will always be cherished encouraging us to do good deeds moulding the society to be harmonious.
Revered as the epitome of universal fraternity and love, the Baba’s principles form the cornerstone of the Trust’s educational endeavours. Embodying the ideals of strength through organisation and liberation through education, the Trust was founded by the esteemed Lawyers with an overarching goal of upholding Baba’s noble vision of welfare for all, transcending the barriers of ethnicity, gender, color, caste, religion or creed.
The college is approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi, affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh and offers LL.B (3-Years) and integrated BA LL.B(Hons) (5-year) programs. The college has produced quality law graduated who are practicing in various High Courts and District Courts and/or occupy posts as law officers, District Attorneys etc. The college derives its strength from the highly qualified and dedicated faculty. The college imparts quality legal education and Free legal Aid to the masses. The college undertakes skill development through extra- and extended curricular activities and experiential learning such as Moot Court, Mock Trials, holding clinics in Legal Aid, conduct of seminars, Debates, Sports/cultural activities. These bring out the hidden talent among the students and help them develop intellectual, physical and moral values.
